Terry Richardson photographed Lindsey Wixon for an editorial featured in Vogue Nippon June 2011. Love the girl`s doll face and the last picture absolutely is my favourite one. So cool!

Nicky`s message: don`t forget the dark hues besides all that color! She proves how stunning a simple and demure outfit is. I love love love it! Paris looks like a parrot next to her ^^ Often, more is less. And the biker`s an all-time favorite, no question.

Celeb Crush: Kate Hudson

THIS is the ultimate proof that women get even more beautiful when they are pregnant. I adore Kate in her vanilla-colored gown, a yellow hue which goes perfectly with blonde hair. And the flowy silhouette compliments the pregnant figure perfectly.

French Genius and African Beauty

Marrakech is full of history - not only are there a lot of places where you feel like hundreds of years back in time, but also it plays an important role in terms of fashion history. French couturier Yves Saint Laurent is buried in a garden in this beautiful Moroccan city. He spent a lot of time in Marrakech where he owned a house with a huge garden. The garden is now open to the public and this is also where his grave is. YSL drew a lot of inspiration from the colorful life in Marrakech, it can be seen in his creations which got a lot brighter after he had visited Morocco for the first time.

I totally get why YSL fell in love with Marrakech. There`s no other place in the world (or not a lot of them, I`m sure!) which is that inspiring. Two eyes, ears and a nose are not enough to capture all the impressions in the streets and the souk, the famous market. Dried fruit, sweets, olives, colored wool, spices and all sorts of medicine can be bought in the market stalls. Of course also traditional clothes, like the babouches (shoes) and the djelaba (a long dress with a hood for men and women) are available. One can spend hours just watching the buzz of activity in the streets and feel like in an Arabian fairy tale.

Unfortunately we got caught by reality on our trip. On our second day the bomb attack in a tourist café in front of the souk happened. We were glad that we had been in another part of the city by the time it exploded. It makes me sad that there are people who do such things. My thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims and the injured.

Nontheless, Marrakech remains a stunning city and I will go back one day for sure.

The pictures below show Jardin Majorelle (YSL`s garden) and some impressions of the city.
